I work at a vet clinic, we recommend frontline or revolution. If you get the cheap stuff from the pet store, like flea collars and powders, it doesn't usually work, and you will end up spending more money trying all kinds of different treatments. So a topical flea prevention is the best. Revolution you have to get from a veterinarian, because it has heartworm prevention. But you can get frontline from a petstore. Both work wonders within 24 hours, and last one month.

you can bathe your pet in vinegar.just pour the vinegar on,let it sit in the fur for a few minutes.rubbing it in real good, and just watch the little bastards run, then just wash it out with straight water, your pet will most likely smell like an onion ring for a few days.you can also leave dishes of soapy water around to help catch the ones around the house.
PS, the vinegar trick will also work for getting skunk smell out of the fur.

Hi...well cheap will turn pout to be the most expensive as pet shop treatments do not work & you will end up needing the vet stuff anyway...
The best treatment you can get in the UK is Frontline...I use the pump spray as I find it to be the better...
When you buy flea products you have to remember that getting a prescription one from the vet is going to be better than a weak type of spray you can get at the pet shops...these are not that cheap either & they just do not work...
Regards Jake
