With that said, your best cleaner for oil is dish washing liquid.


Assuming the blanket is machine washable, rub dish washing liquid into the stain (full strength).  It doesn&#039;t matter what brand you use, as long as it&#039;s a good name brand.  Most people recommend Dawn, but I&#039;ve found other brands work just as well...Ajax, Palmolive, etc.

Let the dish washing liquid sit for 20 minutes or so...then launder as usual.
