What is the best flea control and tick treatment for dogs?
We are having a hard time getting rid of fleas, we are doing flea baths and drops BUT still cant get rid of the pesky critters. We are using frontline.
Ive heard of a tablet/capsule that works as a repellent, can anybody shed light on this. What the compound is generic brands etc. Also we are spraying the outside area too but perhaps the product we are using isn’t strong enough. Can anybody suggest the best and most economical way to rid the problem?

talk to your vet to see what is the best to treat your dog, just to see what he recommends. I would go with the the Frontline or the k9 Advantix for your dog.

buy some diatomaceous earth at home depot and spread it around tour property, and try revolution flea treatment…

The product I use for my dog is the K9 Advantix brand. This was highly recommended from the veterinarian. I started her out on Advantix when she was still a pup and I haven’t steered away. It works really great and recommend you try it out if you already haven’t.
There are a few different formulas depending in the size of your dog. Below is where I purchase my Advantix from. Great prices too!

I’m not a huge fan of the store brand flea and tick products. I like to search for herbal remedies for most things I can help prevent. I found a little article I bookmarked that lists a few natural alternatives to preventing fleas and ticks…. I’ve been following it for a while and it’s been working great. Even if it isn’t 100% effective, the general health of my dog has improved. I hope you find a solution that works for you.
